Today is our first recruitment open day

Today the Parliamentary Digital Service is hosting a recruitment open day focusing on the current and future vacancies in our Development and Portfolio teams.

It is a chance for people to meet the teams, see how we work, look at projects and find out what it is really like to work at Parliament.

For those of you that are not attending but are still interested in working for the Digital Service here is a video of some of the team talking about what it is like to work here.   This is the first of many recruitment events so please watch out for the invite to our next recruitment day.

Here is a list of our current and future vacancies:

Designer: Brand development, interaction design, usability and accessibility, producing sketches, wire-frames, prototypes, designs and hand-coded HTML and CSS.

Developer: Front End and Back End development using a range of technologies.

Performance Analysts: Strong data analysis, web analytics and visualisation tools essential: e.g. Google Analytics, Google Refine, Tableau, Excel etc.

User Researcher: Research processes, including writing test scripts, recruiting users, organising testing, conducting user research, focus groups, ad-hoc and lab testing and strong moderating and interview skills.

Product Manager: Managing high quality digital products with strong delivery management skills and ability to work  with user-centred design methodologies.

Content Producer: Strong writing skills, experience of user-centred digital content design for different audiences and working with content publishing systems and workflows.

Portfolio roles are recruited to on a cyclical basis to support the spectrum of delivery - the type of roles we recruit for are Project, Programme and Portfolio Managers, Business Analysts and Project Officers as well as our apprentice and training roles and a number of central PMO roles that support this entire profile of work
