We are holding an Open Day on Thursday 12 May 2016 between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm.
We are looking for talented, enthusiastic people who want to work at the heart of democracy, tackling challenging and high profile digital projects that can really make a difference. If you are interested in bringing your digital skills to work in Parliament, come along and find out more about what we do.
At our Open Day you will be able to meet the team, see how we work, look at the projects we are working on and find out what it is really like to work for Parliament.
This is a great time to join us. We are about to publish the first digital strategy for Parliament and we have an exciting and challenging work programme to deliver alongside Members of Parliament and the House of Lords, colleagues across Parliament and the wider public to put digital first.
Here are some of our current and future vacancies:
Designer: Brand development, interaction design, usability and accessibility, producing sketches, wire-frames, prototypes, designs and hand-coded HTML and CSS.
Developer: Front End and Back End development using a range of technologies.
Performance Analysts: Strong data analysis, web analytics and visualisation tools essential: e.g. Google Analytics, Google Refine, Tableau, Excel etc.
User Researcher: Research processes, including writing test scripts, recruiting users, organising testing, conducting user research, focus groups, ad-hoc and lab testing and strong moderating and interview skills.
Product Manager: Managing high quality digital products with strong delivery management skills and ability to work with user-centred design methodologies.
Content Producer: Strong writing skills, experience of user-centred digital content design for different audiences and working with content publishing systems and workflows.
You will also have the opportunity to find out more about the wider technology and information systems portfolio and the range of project, programmes and associated roles that we recruit to on a cyclical basis to support this total spectrum of delivery - such as Project and Programme and Portfolio Managers, Business Analysts and Project Officers as well as our apprentice and training roles and a number of central PMO roles that support this entire profile of work.
I’m interested! What do I need to do?
