It’s that time of the year when we start to think about Parliament Week and our annual Parliament hackathon. This year we’re partnering with the National Audit Office (NAO) and the Office for National Statistics (ONS) to bring you Accountability Hack. It will be hosted at the NAO and takes place the weekend of 8th and 9th November 2014.
The data.parliament platform is now up and running, and hosts a range of data sets including Commons and Lords Divisions and energy consumption data.If there are particular data sets you would like to use at the event or you would just like us to publish then we’d like to hear from you.
Accountability hack will be a great opportunity to look at the data all three institutions hold and to build some great apps and websites that create social value in some way, improve transparency and accountability. It’s also a great opportunity for us to get feedback from the users of our data and make improvements, connect with the developer community and develop ideas for new projects.
Whether you’re a designer, a developer or you’re just passionate about the data Parliament, NAO and ONS have then you should sign up and come along to accountability hack.
